Occupy Fail at CPAC

There should be another Occupy round here at CPAC in just a short while, but if it’s anything like the earlier one there won’t be much to talk about. I was in my room at about noon when Da TechGuy called to tell me they were there. By the time I made it there were only a few left. I guess the unions only paid them to be there for about an hour.

Here are the “Tax Dodgers” who showed up in baseball uniforms and carrying bats. (I think they were plastic.) Security chased them away but we caught up with them as they were taking questions from the media. It didn’t take long to get bored, so the video is short.

We left them and went over to the other driveway and found about a dozen or so protesters on the street debating CPAC attendees. It wasn’t even worth videotaping, and again, very boring. Here are a few photos.

As far as the speeches go, I only saw Rick Santorum’s in person. I watched Mitt Romney online. Someone asked me who got more applause. I really don’t know. Since I wasn’t in the room for Romney it’s harder to get a feel for it, but the video seemed to indicate that he was well received, as was Rick Santorum. I also missed Newt Gingrich, who probably just finished up. The lines getting in to see Romney appeared longer than those for Santorum, but I can’t say for sure. I did hear a guy say “I’m a Romney guy now” while walking through the lobby a few minutes ago.

    You keep bringing up that Santorum brought the deceased baby home, like you have some kind of moral outrage over it….but liberals have NO morals, so why do you care???
    Plus it’s just sad that that is the ONLY thing liberals can find to “bad mouth” Santorum on.

  Yes, they do have much in common, however, they have totally different approaches on how to fix it.
  OWS is going about it the WRONG WAY.
  When you have greivences with the government, you hold a protest and when your point is made you go home. If the government doesn’t change what you protested about, you vote them out in the next election.
  Camping in a public park for months at a time (preventing other citizens from using that PUBLIC PARK) does NOTHING. Allowing criminal activity to run rampet does NOTHING. Protesting PRIVATE COMPANIES that don’t answer to the people does NOTHING.
