Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) gave the opening speech at CPAC 2012. He was spot-on when he said we have to stop compromising with Democrats.
Every time we compromise with the Democrats we spend more, we borrow more, and we grow the government.
He’s right, look where compromise has gotten us – more than $15 trillion in debt, annual deficits of over $1 trillion year in and year out and a massive, intrusive government. It’s about time someone lays to rest the idea that conservatives should continue compromising with the left.
Despite the many problems facing the nation, DeMint expressed optimism, saying that “America was always a bottom-up country,” and that “It took more than one election to get us in this hole, it will take more than one election to get us out.”
Later Senator DeMint met with bloggers and reiterated his warning about compromising with Democrats. “The Democratic Party is tied in to those who want to expand government. They think balancing the budget is extreme.” His criticism wasn’t limited just to the Democrats, saying “Our first battle is with our own party.”
He also talked about his book Now or Never: Saving America from Economic Collapse and warned that if we don’t do something soon “We will be worse off than Greece.
Senator DeMint was also kind enough to pose for photos.
Earlier DeMint said that a brokered GOP convention was possible this year. One of the bloggers asked if that meant he would be willing to step up and make a run for President. He didn’t say yes, but he didn’t entirely rule it out, either. Wouldn’t that be something?

I attended a seminar in the 1970s and heard the keynote speaker say the same thing about communist. He had survived numerous torture sessions at the hands of his communist captors and they demanded he compromise his business, political and religious beliefs for the betterment of the communist state!
Eventually, he was released and he fled to the west for a better life.
His message was, if you compromise with communists they will enslave and destroy you!
Saul Alinsky was a communist who directly influenced the young student Obama with his indoctrination on community organization, a pure form of communist doctrine. So, no surprises that Obama hisses his venom, laced with a message of compromise! His crime was refusing to compromise his values and faith!
Communist beget communist!
The reason that Obama hates the constitution is the founding fathers were educated and aware of those who might desire to change the republic into a colony! Obama is the new face of Imperialism, taking the rights from Americans to enslave subjects and harvest their wealth!

You dont even know who Saul Alinsky was or what he did. You are repeating talking points from the junky on the radio. Dont worry about compromising with Dems, there wont be enough of you in the next congress to have anything to compromise.
GO MITT!!! You people are sad, so sad.
Hot debate. What do you think?

john on, I’m surprised an illiterate fool like you can spell Alinsky. I’m sure you need to check your crack pipe about now; an Alinsky bred OWS/Union fool is scoping it out while you hunt and peck your way to QWERTY heaven.
I would gladly provide you with a link to the communist manifesto, Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky, but Puff the Magic Dragon may be beta-blocking your dopamine uptake channels!
It’s time out for you now!
