What, you didn’t hear about how candidate Barack Obama told us all that his policies would make energy prices skyrocket? Well, here’s a newsflash for you – gasoline is considered energy. It powers our cars and trucks. It’s one promise Obama’s kept, gas prices are now at the highest level ever for this time of year. Hope and change, ain’t it great?
Gasoline prices have never been higher this time of the year.
At $3.53 a gallon, prices are already up 25 cents since Jan. 1. And experts say they could reach a record $4.25 a gallon by late April.
“You’re going to see a lot more staycations this year,” says Michael Lynch, president of Strategic Energy & Economic Research. “When the price gets anywhere near $4, you really see people react.”
Already, W. Howard Coudle, a retired machinist from Crestwood, Mo., has seen his monthly gasoline bill rise to $80 from about $60 in December. The closest service station is selling regular for $3.39 per gallon, the highest he’s ever seen.
“I guess we’re going to have to drive less, consolidate all our errands into one trip,” Coudle says. “It’s just oppressive.” (Read More)

The Dollar to Euro conversion is currently $1.3145 to 1 Euro.
1 Gallon equals 3.785 liters
1 liter of gas in Socialist Germany is currently 1.60 euros
1.60 euros equals $2.1032 at the current rate. That’s $2.1032 for 1 LITER of fuel.
3.785 times 2.1032 equals $7.96061 for one gallon of gas.
$7.96061 for one Gallon of Gas!!!
This is what I am paying in Germany’s wonderful socialist system. Germany pays the exact same price for fuel on the world market as we do, but taxes the folks over 200% for their socialist paradise.
And as you stated, this is one promise obama wishes to keep.

It’s normal for most of us to look at this as only affecting our personal travel, but this “tax” on the economy imposes itself across the distribution chain through the vehicles that move anything that we purchase and or consume, even the fuel you purchase at the gas station has to be moved there and that takes fuel.
It’s really despicable of the politicos to game the system in their favor and not take fuel and food into the inflation equation, but they’ll always try to cover their political asses any way we let them.

The entire world must be having a side-splitting laugh at our expense. America sits on vast reserves of oil and gas. World prices are astronomically high. But our own government forbids our accessing it, and prohibits a pipeline from our most important neighbor and trading partner, Canada, that would bring vast quantities of economical energy here. Instead-by purchasing our oil overseas-we recycle billions in our own national wealth to Russia and fundamentalist Muslim nations who desperately need the funds to finance America’s destruction. And we await a magical and nonexistent “clean, cheap, renewable” energy to solve our problems.
The Russians, Venezuelans and Arabs have GOT to be high-fiving.

300% you say? Let’s see, gas was at about $1.74 when I was back in Va. in 2002. Times 3 would mean under Bush gas cost us $5.22. We have never had gas hit that high. So who are YOU lying to?? And lets not forget that it was the lib house and senate in 2007 that really got prices climbing. In the American system, it’s congress that controls the purse strings, not the president. He doesn’t spend a dime without congress’s approval. So the libs must have liked what he wanted to allow him that much money. So why blame Pres Bush when it was the dems who authorized it??

In 2009 odumd-dumb was prez. You point out all the supposed faults of the Bush years and didn’t give him the “inherited the problem from zipper clinton” benefit of the dought. So odumb-dumb doesn’t get it either by your weak logic. Gas has “nearly” doubled in just three years of odumb-dumb when he had a house and senate majority to bring it down to anything they wanted. But what odumb-dumb wants is $5.00 gas. He said so himself. Remember when he said energy prices will naturally skyrocket?? That’s because he wants it that way.
Prove to me odumb-dumb ist a socialist! You can’t because you socialist are all one big FAIL! And it’ll get proven to you in November!
