WH Adviser Valerie Jarrett: Unemployment Stimulates the Economy

Senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett (AKA Obama’s Brain) spoke at an event in North Carolina and said that unemployment is great for the economy, and that keeping people on the government dole is good for the family.

“Even though we had a terrible economic crisis three years ago, throughout our country many people were suffering before the last three years, particularly in the black community,” Jarrett said. “And so we need to make sure that we continue to support that important safety net. It not only is good for the family, but it’s good for the economy. People who receive that unemployment check go out and spend it and help stimulate the economy, so that’s healthy as well.”

This is getting so old. It’s not even fun mocking these people anymore. Good grief.

Hell, if it’s so healthy, why don’t she quit and really perk up the economy?

If it’s great then the Great Depression must have been a boom time.

What’s really sad is folks believe this crap.

She should be WH press secretary! She sounds like an old Clinton spin doctor! I’m sure she was thinking about Greece when she said that! Their unemployment rate has the economy cooking! Bamkers are rushing to invest in the “more is less” country!

Give a self-absorbed egotist consumed with self-love, some power and a microphone, and what have you got?

    Hint: See above.

    I couldn’t agree more.

It’s like trying to stir up the sh*t in a pig sty. what difference does it make?

!t’s a commentary on the state of truthfulness in the Obama White House. If they don’t like the truth, spin it until George Washington cries and Abe Lincoln turns in his grave and we have the “truth.”
This sounds like something from the Hitler playbook. The Big Lie theory of propaganda!

Unfortunately, while I may agree with your general disdain of Ms. Jarrett, your comment is seriously offensive on a number of levels.

In 256 days, I with many others will attempt to test Ms. Jarrett’s theory by trying to add her to the statistical unemployed. I’m certain she’ll be thrilled as being part of the solution if it works.

This has to be one of the dumbest rationalizations I’ve ever read (and there are multiple from Ms. Jarrett). When I was unemployed, I could barely stimulate my mortgage payment let alone the economy. I wanted a job, not handouts. Private sector growth and less government intrusion is what offers the opportunities that will result in growth. I’m tired of liberal talking points, it is like the Emperor’s New Clothes and I’m hopeful the American People start seeing through this nonsense!
