I hope you’re enjoying yourself this St. Patrick’s Day. I know President Obama is, he took some time from campaigning and signing executive orders to stop at an Irish Pub to celebrate his Irish heritage with a throng of adoring fans.
Here in the LC household, we were going to take the kids to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Syracuse, but the SU game just happened to take place at the same time, so we stayed home to watch the game. It’s just as well. SU won, and staying home gave me the opportunity to get some things done around the house. As far as I know, no occupiers showed up like they did in St. Louis.
I’ll leave you with a fun little Irish song – The Irish Rovers’ Drunken Sailor. Maybe we can change the lyrics to “What do you do with a rotten statist? Vote him out of office!” or something similar.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Update: Perhaps this is a better classic Irish song for the upcoming election – Wild Rover by The Dubliners. In November we’ll all be singing “Well it’s no nay never! No nay never no more. Well we tried the progressives, no never no more!”
Update 2: This one is for the trolls “If you don’t like me, then leave me alone!” And buy your own whiskey, while you’re at it.

As a fellow mid-state NYer, I’ve always wondered about Syracuse celebrating St. Patties day. They ARE the ORANGE MEN after all. Or do I not understand something about Irish culture right?
Hope you had a fun day. It was 60F here in Germany yesterday with sunny skys, it was great!

…good choices all. If anyone can find any humor in oppression and struggle, it’s the Irish…”Have a pint; it won’t fix anything but ya won’t care”….love ‘em.
