Figures! Obama’s New Campaign Slogan Has Long Communist History

Leave it to Team O to come up with a new campaign slogan – “Forward” – that’s had a long association with communism.

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”
“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

Here’s the video rolling out the new slogan. I’ve seen infomercials that are shorter. It’s more of the same – singling out Republican politicians and private citizens, trashing the tea party, spiking the Bin Laden football, lies about health care, and bragging about all of the money wasted on “green energy.” There’s even a boast about spending cuts. I almost spit Diet Coke on the screen when I saw that one. Finally after all of that we hear “There’s still more to do.”
