Rev. Jesse Jackson’s Easter message this year was a bit unusual, but then again, he was preaching to the choir.
Occupy Chicago held its Chicago Spring march and rally earlier today. And the Reverend Jesse Jackson recounted when Jesus cleared the moneychangers out of the temple in Jerusalem.
Jackson asks, “But why was He killed?”
Here’s the answer you won’t hear during Easter mass: “Because He fought and occupied the corrupt temple.”
Yeah, that’s not quite the message we heard at Easter mass.

It’s astonishing, isn’t it? This man is supposed to be a pastor.
Jesus died to pay for the sins of the world. He died because He chose to die for us. God required a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all of us. The only perfect person was Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
He died, He is risen, He is coming again! Alleluia!
