Here’s video of Jeffrey Neeley, the GSA chief who is on administrative leave after the public found out about the agency’s lavish conference in 2010, running from reporters after pleading the Fifth at a House hearing.
If you’re wondering why Neeley felt the need to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights, check out the photos his wife posted online of the posh suite they enjoyed while planning the conference. You’d think they would have had the sense to keep these things private (especially this bathtub photo) but I guess they felt as if they were above scrutiny. I guess he thought that hot tub was his own personal trough, paid for by US taxpayers. I wonder if he expensed the wine.
And here he is pleading the 5th.

These government officials found exceeding, not fulfilling or taking advantage of responsibilities and authority is becoming a common theme in the Obama administration. No taxpayer begrudges any government worker, working away from home a clean and safe atmosphere to stay in. This is disgusting and way, way over the top. And they knew it.

‘becoming a common theme in the Obama administration’?? You really ought to think/pray before your disgust at President Obama being President of our USA–encourages you to spit out lies. Do you honestly think, President Obama is responsible for Mr. Neeley’s character? Do you honestly believe that this behavior just started when President Obama became president? Give it a rest!!!!!
Hot debate. What do you think?

I’m sure he had it in him under Bush. Obama just gave him the green light.

“the green light”? Are you a complete moron? It is not the president’s job to personally keep tabs on every single government administrator in the country. That’s like blaming the CEO of Walmart because a cashier tried to rip you off. The chances that Obama, or any president for that matter, would even know Jeffrey Neely’s name are very slim.
There are dozens of layers between Obama and Neely, populated by both Democrats and Republicans. This is a non-partisan situation.
If you want partisan wastes of money, how about a president who started two unfunded wars while lowering taxes for the wealthy?
