Let’s hope this is a sign of things to come. President Obama kicked off his 2012 campaign today – Cinqo de Mayo day and Karl Marx’s birthday – and he didn’t even fill a stadium. I guess people aren’t feeling so hopey-changey these days.
Of course, the Romney campaign was all over this.
Barack Obama launched his campaign in unspectacular fashion today at Ohio State University, the largest college in the crucial swing state. A photo posted to twitter by Mitt Romney’s campaign spokesman Ryan Williams reveals sparse attendance. The above image, according to Williams, was taken during the President’s first official campaign speech.
During the speech, Obama ripped into the presumptive GOP nominee and discussed nation building at home, but the most newsworthy item of the day was not the talking points Obama delivered: it was the crowd… or lack thereof. According to ABC News, the Obama campaign had expected an “overflow” of people. Instead, the arena looked half-empty. The Columbus Dispatch reports that Obama organizers even had people move from the seats to the floor of the gym in order to project a larger crowd on television. (Read More)

Spelling may have been a little off but that’s all you have. It doesn’t change the fact that Mitt Romney is a major LOSER! You dont even like him! Here you have a guy who doesn’t consider the womens vote and in order to court the Latino vote goes and speaks to Cubans in Florida when the problem he has is clearly with the Mexican vote. Smart! Lets not even start talking about the African American and Gay vote let alone non conservative students which outweigh conservative. This” better than a poke in the eye with a stick” candidate that the GOP has lacklusterly chosen, or rather been forced to accept is making the very same mistakes that John ” graduated 5th from the bottom of his class at Annapolis” McCain made when he catapulted your president to victory in 2008. I don’t give a pinch of shit about the african american gay vote, or any other gay vote, nor your sorry ass student majority. They are by and large the people who gave us the present cic. What a travesty that has turned into.
