Lanny Davis is a Democrat insider from the Bill Clinton wing of the party and a supporter of President Obama. He was talking about the negative nature of Obama’s campaign and called what they have done to Newark, NJ Mayor Cory Booker “vicious.”

This is how bad it is… You have vicious people who are working for the president, who are saying Cory Booker – one of the great supporters of President Obama’s policies – is quote dead because he’s giving the president good advice, disagreeing with the Kool Aid drinking people in the campaign who think the way to win the presidency is to trash the other guy, rather than to defend your own guy’s record.

He and the show’s host then discussed whether or not the campaign is in meltdown mode. It sure sounds like it.
