Today is Troopathon V. The eight hour broadcast begins at 4:00 PM Eastern (1:00 PM Pacific) and it’s another all-out effort to send as many care packages as possible to the US troops serving overseas in harm’s way. The show will be hosted by Melanie Morgan, Debbie Lee, JD Hayworth and Dana Loesch. There will be plenty of special guests throughout the broadcast, including Dennis Miller and Rep. Allen West, so be sure stay tuned.
There are currently over 130,000 troops still serving in Afghanistan, mostly US troops and some from other nations of the 50-member NATO coalition.
Our troops are serving in some of the most dangerous places to be in the world, where the Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies continue to try and destabilize a nation to bring back a safe haven for radical Islamist extremists can train, plot, and launch attacks against the nations of the Western world, primarily the United States.
Our mission is to send care packages to support those brave troops! For as little as $25 you can send support to a Soldier, Marine, Airman, Sailor, or Guardsman serving overseas. Each package contains lots of goodies and helpful items that our troops appreciate, such as coffee, cookies, beef jerky, deodorant, wet wipes and more!
The video below should play once Troopathon kicks off. Please use the link above or click on the image at the top of the page to make a donation. To all of you who have already donated, on behalf of the troops, thank you.

When I was “downrange”, my unit would sometimes get letters from elementary school kids with handmade pictures and all the students autographs on them telling us how they appreciated our efforts. Some of us-me included- had to take a little alone time walk to allow the tears to pass. Those were the best morale boosters. I kept every letter I ever got. They were one of the reasons I had no emotional problem when they sent us again a few years later. Just a friendly tip from a vet who knows what service members like!
