Yeah, me too! I listen to a lot of music with my kids. I’m a mom, I want to know what’s influencing them so I can talk to them about it. I still don’t know what to make of this song ‘Some Nights’ by fun. (No, the small f is not a typo.) But it does make me believe that we have a generation of children who don’t know what they’re supposed to believe. Here’s the video.
I hope these young people tuned into the prime time coverage of tonight’s Republican National Convention. When Artur Davis spoke I thought he was going to be a tough act to follow. But then came North Carolina Nikki Haley, followed by Ann Romney and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. I can’t tell you who made better points, they were all good. All I have time to do is bring you the videos so you can judge for yourself, and maybe find something to stand for. As a mother of two young boys, I ask you to please find the time to watch these videos if you haven’t seen them already. They will give you an idea of where we “right wingers” come from. At least I hope they will. It has nothing to do with hate. It’s all about math, and love of country and our kids.

Now that you’ve seen the videos, are you still wondering if you have something to stand for? If so, wait for the Democrat National Convention, listen to them tell you how you need them. If that’s your conclusion, please be sure to come up with a plan to survive when it all comes crashing down. I know I’m already working on mine.
Update: As for this song by fun., other than the catchy tune there’s nothing new there from my college days. Perhaps they can use their talents to enact positive change, for a change. We can always hope.
