William Hoge picked up on a comment by a guy who used to go by the name of Liberal Grouch online, but changed it to something else. It’s hard to keep up with these people. Anyway, this is what he said:
I know that far too many people who actively DO write things in the hopes [sic] that their readers will react violently. … I think we, as writers, need to understand that people READ the stuff we write, and not all of them are going to be stable or sane. (Read More)
So what is he saying, that we should stop reporting the truth because it might anger people? If that’s the case, we should all just shut up right now. Because what’s happening in the US and the world today should make people angry. It’s what people do with that anger that’s important. Most of us advocate getting involved in the political process, not violence. If a few people take things differently, you can’t blame the messenger. Maybe if the media spent their time doing their jobs, we wouldn’t be in the situation we’re in today and people wouldn’t get so ticked off when they hear the truth!
As for this Liberal Grouch dude, apparently, he’s just another one of those liberal online stalker creeps that keeps turning up like a bad penny.
Side note: No doubt in several hours of this post I will have to delete at least a few comments threatening myself and my family, the writers will call me the “c” word because they have such limited vocabularies they can’t come up with anything new. Oh sure, sometimes they accuse me of abusing my kids, and tell me I’m a manly thing that my husband can’t stand. It’s the same thing day in and day out. But I’m sure they would stop if I just stopped writing about things they don’t want to hear. They may as well move on, because I’m not going to shut up.
