It’s official, the buck stops with Hillary Clinton.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the buck stops with her when it comes to who is to blame for security ahead of a deadly assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.
“I take responsibility” for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN’s Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, was the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions.
“I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha,” she added, noting that it is close to the election.
The attack killed Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans at the consulate. (Read More)
At least someone in this administration is taking responsibility. Heaven forbid the president takes responsibility for anything.

In true manly, progressive form, Dear Leader resorts to hiding behind a skirt.

First he hid behind Amb. Rice and now he hides behind Hillary. As Worf would say, “This man has no honor”.

My take is that Bill and Hillary realized that Obama was about to throw her under the bus anyway, so she jumped the gun on him by claiming responsibility.
By doing that, she looks more statesman-like than she would fighting off accusations and the blame-tossing from the “it wasn’t us” crowd at the White House.
And Obama litterally skates past another pit in the road.

Good point. But Hillary will get even….
She’s from Chicago, too.

The B.O. and the FOOL both knew what transpired on a real time basis. The President is responsible for fiasco, no one else. He’s nothing but a miserable sad sack who still blames George W. Bush for anything and everything that took place during his four years at the helm. How pathetic and totally gutless can a person be?

I guess SHE was the bump in the road to be thrown under the Canadian made Obama bus.
Hey, as Obama says “the buck stops with you”

So POTUS. is not interested in national security, nor it seems anything else, other than being re elected. Isreals security? Not of interest. Rising militancy in the Middle East? Never heard of it. China rising? Sorry, George Clooney is on the phone.
This is a very telling moment of this presidency.

Bob’s comments hit the nail on the head … Hillary has upped her own leadrship ante by being up front …

A great Democratic President once had a sign on his desk, “The Buck Stops Here;” unless by “Buck” it refers to campaign contributions, that sign will never be on President Obama’s desk!
Hillary Clinton worked very hard to try to get the job that Mr Obama currently has, and if it’s now obvious that she’ll never have that job, at least she’s trying to act presidential.
I wonder just how many Democrats who voted for Mr Obama in the 2008 primaries wish that they had cast their votes differently.

BULL! The ultimate responsibility fall on the shoulders of the President. Doing a little side-step with Hillary doesn’t change things in the slightest.

No, if Hillary took responsibilty, she’d step down.
Then again, if Obama actually WANTED to be President, and not just in name (and perks), he would also request her resignation. But he can’t. No matter what he does now, he looks weak.
Hillary did this to LOOK good, and it was probably the best of a lot of bad options, but she certainly didn’t fall on her sword. It’s still the fault of an underling, to listen to her talk. Falling on her sword would imply consequences — of which there will be none.
I swear, the Obama Administration seems to have a pathological aversion to assuming responsibility for anything even remotely negative, akin to a vampire’s aversion to sunlight. It’s really incredible, I don’t think I’ve ever seen behavior like this outside of small children …
Thanks for posting!
PS — Amazing how Watergate had a body count of zero and got so much more traction than this or Fast and Furious, isn’t it?

I think this is all a setup. Hillary has made herself look presidential by taking responsibility. I predict that at tonight’s debate Obama will try to stop his falling numbers, especially with women, by pretending to man up and refusing to let Hillary take all the blame. He will take his best shot at trying to look like a real leader, and the LSM will report the story as Obama nobly shouldering part of Hillary’s burden while really being completely without blame. I know this sounds conspiracy theoriest, but remember how devious these people are, and that scenario would be the closest to a win-win they can get out of this debacle.
