Here’s video of Politico’s John Harris pointing out how President Obama “diminished himself” as commander in chief during the final debate of the 2012 election.

I felt that a number of times while the president was making his points so aggressively, what was communicated in those exchanges was not strength and confidence but what was communicated was a kind of a sort of nit-picky, sort of an overly aggressive strategy which had the effect of diminishing the presidency… He is already commander in chief.

He’s been diminishing the presidency for years, but at least now some in the media are noticing. Hey, it’s a start.

I have to say, Obama’s performance tonight was not optimal.
