Here’s another example of how badly our putrid culture has infected our politics. This guy Jon Stryker is a smashing success by anybody’s standards. Yet he donated millions to Super PACs that are out for his destruction, and even more of his personal fortune to the Obama campaign. He helped to seal his own fate, and the fate of his employees.
One of the biggest medical device manufacturers in the world, Stryker will close their facility in Orchard Park, New York, eliminating 96 jobs in December. Worse, they plan on countering the medical device tax in Obamacare by slashing 5% of their global workforce - an estimated 1,170 positions.
Eh, he’ll probably be okay. He could probably shut the company down completely and live a nice life, but the same can’t be said for the workers losing their jobs. Maybe he can explain to them how Obamaphones and food stamps are preferable to full time jobs.
But seriously, did he not see this coming, or did he just not care?

Yep, if he were a chicken he just supported Col. Sanders. Stryker’s industry works are big where I’m at and this guy is a big mover and shaker not only in national politics but in Michigan as well. He’s a gay person that donates huge sums to the Gaystapo PACs and uses his wealth (inherited) and influence to sway elections all over the country. I don’t want to hear one lefty whine about the Koch brothers or Citizens United.

The jobs will go overseas. Barry likes outsourcing jobs. We will get inferior products as in lots of medical lawsuits against Stryker Orthopedic implants now.

When government is using it’s power to control businesses, but not formally declaring government ownership it is Fascism, a kind of speed bump on the way to Communism in which the formal ownership is finally declared. There is the dictionary definition of a word–like Communism, literally meaning a system in which all goods are owned in common and everyone is equal; and then there is the reality they, shall we say, “evolved” to: two classes, the powerful and powerless, the haves and have nots. You can have an October Revolution without firing a shot, without hoisting a red flag (or one with Obama’s trademark), or parsing the label. I do understand what you’re pointing out, Leon, but Obama is currently engineering and practicing Communism in its actual form, not its theoretical, dictionary form. He can do that and still pretend to embrace the American way; that’s the other thing they figured out. Communism in reality is a two-party deal: one party has power, the other party has none and is controlled. He’s definitely a Communist, and he’s slowly ensuring that the middle class will disappear and we’ll be left with those two pathetic groups. And meanwhile, we all argue about General Patraeus instead of keeping our eyes on the real danger to the Western way of life. Forget about Obama being a closet Islamist; he’s an open communist and that is a much bigger, more immediate danger. And no one seems to care.
