Dan Maffei Wants Ballots Impounded

This morning at a GOP campaign rally in Onondaga County, NY the county GOP Chairman Tom Dadey said that he had just been served with legal papers from Dan Maffei demanding that the ballots in the NY24 congressional race be impounded on election day. Maffei, who Dadey calls a “chicken” because he has only participated in 2 out of 7 debates, calls this standard practice. I guess it is standard practice for losers. Maffei had ballots impounded the last time he lost, dragging the race out for weeks as his operatives harassed absentee voters and tried to have ballots tossed out.

Speaking of Maffei, he received an endorsement from President Obama. It sounds exactly like the endorsements Obama put out of other Democrats running in this cycle.

Slaughter
“America’s middle class needs Louise Slaughter in Congress to stand up and fight for them,” said President Obama. “Congresswoman Slaughter will create jobs here at home by building from the middle out, not the top down. She will protect Medicare for our seniors and education for our next generation.  Middle class families can count on Louise and she needs your support on Election Day.”

Maffei

“America’s middle class needs Dan Maffei in Congress to stand up and fight for them,” Obama said. “Dan will create jobs here at home by building from the middle out, not the top down. He will protect Medicare for our seniors and education for our next generation. Middle class families can count on Dan and he needs your support on Election Day.”

Takano

America’s middle class needs Mark Takano in Congress to stand up and fight for them,” Obama said in a statement issued by the Takano campaign. “Takano will create jobs here at home by building from the middle out, not the top down. He will protect Medicare for our seniors and education for our next generation. Middle class families can count on Mark and he needs your support on election day.”

I guess they’re lucky he even gave them a form letter, considering that he’s all but told them they’re on their own.

A poll released this afternoon shows that this race is in a dead heat, which is pretty good news for Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle. In the last election the poll released shortly before election day showed Maffei with a 12 point lead.

ANN MARIE BUERKLE FOR CONGRESS!!!
