Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said on Wednesday that if the $16.394 trillion current legal limit on the federal government’s debt must be raised in the next few months by another $2.4 trillion, “We’ll raise it.”
That would set the debt limit at $18.794 trillion.

All sarcasm aside, I was talking to a friend tonight who is quite distressed about the current situation. She said that Boehner and McConnell should just tell Obama to do what he wants. Let him own it completely. I don’t think it will work, but it is tempting. Kind of like reversing the Cloward-Piven strategy.

When the Nation’s people / the voters decide whether or not they like or dislike a person / the President for whatever circumstance they find themselves and their country in.. and as in this past election, with current economic, social, political, and military circumstances the way they are, high unemployment, inflation rapidly on the rise, the US debt at unsustainable levels far exceeding the GDP capacity of the private sector’s ability to produce in this anemic sickly economic govt iron fisted control and suppressed economic environment, with the US Dollar losing 20% plus of it’s value and sliding downward ever farther, and it’s only getting worse by the day.. not to mention the dismantling of our US Military.. and they still decided that they liked and wanted Obama, and could care less about the economy, the country, the circumstance to which they find themselves in, thus they still voted for Obama.. To them, all that mattered was Obama, Obama, Obama, like Hitler, they would rather be devoted to an Obama cult, than be responsible citizens. When that happens, the Republic ceases to properly function as it should, thus ceases to exist.. Just like the old Weimar Republic into total collapse..

My dad’s family is in the United States because of the events in the Weimar republic. My relatives tried over and over to warn their family members in Germany to turn back the tide, they would not listen; they went with Hitler. I’m glad all my immigrant ancestors are long passed, they would be in despair to see that their adopted country has become what they escaped.

In my view, Harry Reid is mad, as in insane. He has lost himself in the power he has as Senate Majority leader, and should be removed for his own good… and for the good of everybody else.
To be truthful, I suspect that a large number of Congressional members are mad with power. Some are ovbious, even to the uninformed… Pelosi, Reid, Feinstein, Baker. I’m picking on Westerners here, I know them better. You Easterners can name your own candidates for mad dogs.

This “debt ceiling” is just another sick joke this government keeps playing, like the Simpson-Bowles plan, like the pres. pretending to seek an answer to our financial problems, like wanting to make us “energy independent”, knowing that every policy will do the opposite. How about balancing the budget, but hardly mentioning cutting any spending except military. Our protection is John “Sequestration” Boehner. Feel better now? Free abortion stands on every corner.
