Things aren’t going so well in Egypt after the Arab Spring. So much for Smart Diplomacy.
Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood called for protests across the country on Sunday to support President Mohammed Mursi, while the country’s judges urged for a nationwide strike against a decree they saw as granting Mursi new, extensive powers.
The Brotherhood’s protest requests came as Egypt’s Judges Club, a body that represents judges throughout the country, called for “the suspension of work in all courts and prosecution administrations,” after several hours of emergency talks in response to what they called Mursi’s “ferocious attack on Egyptian justice.”
On the ground, clashes erupted outside the High Court between supporters and opponents of Mursi’s new constitutional declaration while the Judges Club held an hours-long emergency meeting inside.
“Some supporters of the declaration shot off fireworks at the gates of the court, and police fired teargas at protesters after they attempted to storm the building,” reported Egypt Independent.
The protests have been going on for days, and as John Hinderaker notes, it’s getting pretty confusing.
But never mind that–I am still really, really confused! Mubarak was our friend, but a bad guy. So he had to go, and Obama denounced him and helped force him out. Morsi is our enemy, and also is a bad guy. So Obama thinks he’s A-OK, and helped Morsi take power. That’s called “smart diplomacy.” You probably wouldn’t understand.
Other things are confusing, too. Did Obama know that Morsi was about to claim dictatorial powers when he made Morsi the “hero” of the Israel-Gaza cease fire? If so, did he mind? If Obama didn’t know–which seems more likely–does he now think that Morsi double-crossed him by capitalizing on his faux diplomatic mission to proclaim himself a dictator? Or is that one more thing that is A-OK with Obama? If Obama doesn’t like the fact that Morsi has cut “Arab Spring” democracy off at the knees, does he intend to do anything about it? Or, when bad things happen, is it “smart diplomacy” to do nothing and pretend you don’t mind?
Well, I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
Oh, and the Smart Diplomacy doesn’t seem to be working too well with Iran, either. Satellites show them moving rockets into the Gaza Strip where they can be used against Israel. Boy, it’s a good thing Hillary was there to help bring about a cease fire.

Dear Lonely Conservative,
Sorry to send this to you this way but as you took down your email I figured this is the only way to get in contact with you lol… Hope you are having a great thanksgiving.

I need everyone’s help to get a conservative book created, it will be the second in my series of books and this is the first time I am using kick starter to create the project. The first is Called ‘The Fisherman’s Catch : A Conservative Bedtime Story” and it centers around businesses and innovation and how Government can mess up a good thing thorough taxation and welfare.
The second will be called “The Cobblers Magic! A Conservative Bedtime Story” and takes place in a land of magic just on the other side of imagination. The concepts it will teach will center on Deficit Spending, Inflation, and that it is okay to say ‘No’ in a world of infinite wants, but limited resources, the word ‘no’ is how we budget. It compares an intelligent cobbler elf named Silvia against the fairy council that simply does everything that the other faeries want.
Ultimately the fairy council casts a dark and terrible spell to try to fix everything, they try to ‘make magic’ which is the currency of the land. This does not work and instead they simply dilute everyone’s magic and cause a whole new set of problems to take place and quickly spirals out of control.
I need Conservative Support for this. Liberals have been working on our children for years, they have blocked conservative attempts to reach children with important messages. We need support like yours to break through this cycle. The project does not need much money, but it needs to reach its intended audience. I know you can help make this happen. Please forward this to as many people as you think will be interested.
Thank You,
Thomas Wright

I’ll try, but I’m still not feeling well. Good luck.

It’s not “leading from behind,” it’s called “leading by your behind.” P.S. Mr Wright, I’ll post it on my Facebook page. Hope it helps.

Are we suppose to think Barry and Hillary are morally superior for empowering the barbarians who now attack Coptic Christians, Jews, women and children? Such a catastrophic foreign policy disaster they have pursued.
