The other day President Obama told supporters to get out and vote because voting is the best revenge. That’s hardly a positive note to wind down his campaign on. Mitt Romney, on the other hand, told supporters to vote out of love of country. Now that’s a positive message.
“Did you see what President Obama said today?” Mitt Romney asked the crowd of 30,000 at his evening rally. “He asked his supporters to vote ‘for revenge’–’for revenge.’ Instead, I ask the American people to vote for love of country.”
It didn’t take long for the campaign to turn this into a new ad.
Update: Dan Riehl translated Obama’s revenge comment: “How dare Mitt Romney stand up for a more traditionalist, center-Right America that still believes in Capitalism and all that rot.” Exactly!
