CNN has a new poll out showing that only four out of ten Democrats believe Israel has the right to defend itself and its people from the rocket attacks Hamas has been launching on them for months.
“Although most Americans think the Israeli actions are justified, there are key segments of the public who don’t necessarily feel that way,” said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. “Only four in ten Democrats think the Israeli actions in Gaza are justified, compared to 74% of Republicans and 59% of independents. Support for Israel’s military action is 13 points higher among men than among women, and 15 points higher among older Americans than among younger Americans.” (Read More)
Apparently, those who disapprove of Israel’s actions don’t get their news from people like Melanie Philips.
Since the beginning of Israel’s operation Pillar of Defence last Wednesday against Hamas rocket attacks, there have been more than 1000 Israeli air strikes. At time of writing, the Palestinian death toll is 69. That is a staggeringly small number of fatalities for more than 1000 bombing raids.
It shows beyond doubt that the Israelis are not only doing everything they can to avoid civilian casualties, but have achieved a degree of precision in doing so which no other army can match. For sure, every civilian casualty is regrettable, and the deaths of children are always tragic — today’s apparently heavy toll particularly so, including at what appears to have been a mistaken target. Such mistakes inevitably happen in war.
But consider this: the very low casualty rate among Israelis from the thousands of rockets that have rained down on them from Gaza is largely due to the fact that Israel has provided its citizens with shelters to save their lives. In Gaza, by horrific contrast, the Hamas leadership has deliberately exposed its citizens to attack by siting its rocket arsenals among them in order to maximise the number of civilian men, women and children who will be killed. What an astounding turn of events.
Bluntly put – That means six out of ten Democrats do not believe that the State of Israel has any sort of right, God-given or otherwise, to be in the land handed it by the UN in 1948, and therefore has no moral or legal right to defend itself.
This becomes more understandable when you realize the Democrats have become the party of minorites that seek the destruction of traditional Christian and Judeo-Christian beliefs and practices.
With a Muslim-favoring president in office now being backed by a super majority consisting of that “Democratic” 60% of non-believers, the existence of modern-day Israel is in fact now supported only by Israel’s own WMD’s, which rational observers are convinced Israel will use before losing the next – and most likely final – war.
Every Arab/Muslim State and Nation can see this collapsing of support for Israel, and believe the time for action has arrived.
The next world war has been guaranteed, and the chances that the world-wide stockpile of nuclear weapons will be expended before this is all over is better than 50-50.
Well, it’s one way to get solve the world’s population explosion…. turn everybody in green-glowing walking corpses. The rich, the powerful, the elites eveywhere will not like the world of the future.

This includes Obama who speaks as calmly about the Hamas attacks as a tour guide points out attractions for the 1000th time.
Obama seems apologetic not supportive and pulls up short when defending Hamas as if he agrees with their actions and finds the Israeli state somewhat childish.
