Look at this map showing the counties won by Obama in blue and the ones won by Romney in red. We’re all ruled by the cities.

yea this just goes to show you that cities hold alot of poor that are on welfare with free obama phones and they also have the large universities that he focused on where the most students dont pay taxes and are still fed by their mommys and daddys

Is it any wonder the lefties want to push more of us into cities?

As I was watching this unfold last night, I realized that conservatives need to flee these heavily liberal areas and go to the states that are overwhelmingly conservative. Not only would that improve our way of life, but it would give those states more electoral votes. I felt sick when it dawned on me that those states’ votes don’t even matter (WY, UT, MT, ID, KS,.. you get the idea). It might be the only way we can turn the tide.

It’s not just the people getting the freebies that are rabid Obots, but also a lot of white collar folks who feel they’re so incredibly intelligent and that Republicans aren’t. I see those Obama drones everywhere and you can’t reason with them…

This is why I’ve always been in favor of the popular vote.

Looking at this map, my more localized prediction that Romney would win my county while losing my rather dark blue state was realized

L.C., I don’t feel any differently regarding the cities ruling over the entire country. This map clearly illustrates just how much they suck the lifeblood out of the entire nation. $16 trillion in debt concentrated within less than ten percent of the landmass. Bill O’Reilly makes a good point about the people who “want stuff.” Today Rush said: “It’s impossible to vote against Santa Claus!”. But we knew this all along. We knew that there were people in this country who believe that the government should provide them everything. And they knew Obama would punish the producers and hand over the fruit’s of their labors to them for whatever latest technological gadgets or worldly desires they covet. What we didn’t know was how many of these losers there actually were—until today.
I recall Zilla’s comments on last night’s open thread. One of her most passionate comments began: “THIS IS NOT FREAKING OVER…” And although we lost last night, to give up now would be contrary to what we as conservatives firmly believe in, value above all and have continuously fought for…God, family and country. And Zilla’s right, it’s not over—our struggle is just beginning.
Looking at the House congressional map suggests there is some hope and that there is still a chance that we can reverse this nation’s abysmal course. The new Congress will still be in our hands, and surely we must support them. But this time around they MUST speak for us in return! They can no longer let Obama and his band of thieves play games with our lives and our Constitution. We must hold their feet to the fire whenever they abandoned our principles in favor of bipartisanship, which as conservatives know is nothing but a euphemism for CAVING!
I’m elated for Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who ran on decreasing the size of government and a conservative stance on social issues such as abortion and gay rights. She adhered to those conservative principles and by doing so was able to buck the tide and eke out a win for her reelection. If that isn’t a lesson to those jellyfish “reach across the aisle” Republicans, then I don’t know what is. She displayed more tenacity and courage than many of her male counterparts. As a matter of fact, I believe if Mitt Romney had run a similar campaign, today he might be the President-elect.
I’ve been studying some of the House races searching for answers as to why some our most viable candidates lost their bids for election. In this one example a superbly qualified candidate, former Mayor of Saratoga Springs Mia Love (The RNC Sensation), lost her bid to represent Utah’s 4th district, to Democrat, Jim Matheson. I attribute her loss, by the narrow margin illustrated, to two factors: A Libertarian spoiler and racist Democrats.
Jim Matheson – (D) 108,275
Mia Love – (R) 105,629
Difference 3,006
Jim Vein – (L) 5,703
Tea Party favorite, Florida Congressional District 18, Rep. Allen West led by nearly 2000 votes. Then St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, *Democrat Gertrude Walker, recounted thousands of early ballots, after which Congressman West trailed by 2,400 votes. He’s demanding a recount from this corrupt career politician—OBVIOUSLY!
L.C.There are some 300 links to conservative blogs listed at The Lonely Conservative. Imagine if everyone of these sites, and the many others across the nation, united toward a common goal—getting our representatives to actually represent their constituents. We need to unite and form a powerful voting block, and we need to wield it forcefully. All we want is our Constitution, our freedom and the right to hold on to our own wealth. In return they get our vote. If any one of them can’t live up to that…SAYONARA!

Sheldon, what does the popular vote have to do with it? Obama won that too, you know.
The Electoral College Serves its purpose well and I cannot argue with that. The map is disappointing…but obviously Republicans are not getting the message across in large urban areas.

Personally, one good thing that came out of this whole debacle of progressivism is “meeting” so many wonderful people like you and all of the others here on this blog. You all mean the world to me.

Keep the faith, LC. Love your site. Obviously, extraordinarily disappointed with the Presidential results, but also living about the way Republicans treated Allen West, one of my favorite politicians of all time.

Yeah, we aren’t hearing charges of racism in the case of Allen West or Mia Love.

Scott, Oh, I know he did. I’m just in favor of the popular vote. In my opinion that’s the only way to have a vote truly count. I just think the Electoral College should be tossed.

I agree. For some percentage of Democrats it’s 100% about party or Obama. You tell them gas prices have doubled, unemployment hasn’t gone down at all, the economy is stalled, the housing market is down, the debt is up $6 trillion, and they can just discount that because Romney only released one year of tax records. It’s a mental illness. And these same people were the first to rail on Bush/Cheney/Halliburton when the price of gas went up during the Bush years. But during Obama they don’t notice the price of gas at all. I’m a conservative but I can still praise or criticize Republicans because I’m objective and honest. Don’t be so in the tank for a party or candidate that you can’t even carry on a discussion.
