Well, this comes as no surprise. Senate Democrats haven’t passed a budget since 2009, why should we expect them to start now?
Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) confirmed Thursday that she will seek the chairmanship of the Senate Budget Committee next year but told The Hill that she cannot commit to doing a budget.
This opens up the possibility that Senate Democrats will avoiding passing a budget resolution for the fourth year in a row. (Read More)
The article goes on to note that they only need 51 votes to pass a budget, and there are 55 Democrats, so what’s the problem?

If you don’t want to do the job then don’t take the positon. This country is heading down a financial cliff and no one up there wants do anything about. We don’t want to offend one sector of our population or one ethnic group but we are willing to offend the people who work and make this country what it is. We have 535 parasites in congress getting paid and doing nothing. If we paid them for performance they would not be getting paid at all. Of course not they don’t want a budges, That would force them to make decisons and put some contraints on all those pet projects and special appropriates the do. Its like a college student with a check book. They think because they have checks the can buy anything. Folks the financial cliff is comming.

The problem is The Speaker, Boehner, gave away everything in a continuing-resolution with no end date…thats how Reid gets everything without a budget.
Good work Establishment, you’re as much to blame as The Won!

The problem is that Patty Murray is an idiot. She has always been an idiot. And this stupid state where I live keeps reelecting her, because the majority of the voters live in King and Pierce counties (Seattle and Olympia), and they, too, are idiots! It is SOOO frustrating! And now, what is going to happen to Israel? And the Jews who voted for Obama in this country will watch their “homeland” get destroyed without any aid from the USA. Apparently they don’t care, or they wouldn’t have voted for a man who lets his own ambassadors be killed and supports our enemies. Isn’t that treason?

We aren’t ALL bad here in WA. Those of us with brains are very frustrated. But what can you expect from a state that has the lowest church attendance in the nation. People here are in it for themselves. And they don’t care how they get it.
