Rebel Pundit sat in on a Marxist conference at Northwestern University, at least until he got the boot. Many of those in attendance were teachers, planning how to advance their communist agenda in the schools. Isn’t that just lovely?
This Saturday, the Midwest Marxist Conference was held at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. The event was teeming with teachers who spoke about the new found bond between the radical socialists and their Teachers Union. The all-day event, which collected money to support Chicago Socialists and featured a communist bookstore, provided students on-campus along with the radical left community to plan the next phase in their activism.
Becca Barnes, a Chicago Teachers Union teacher and organizer with Chicago Socialists, proclaimed at the beginning of the conference that “the struggle here in the United States has entered a new phase. Nowhere have we pointed the way forward more clearly than here in Chicago with the teachers union strike.”
After the opening plenary, breakout sessions addressed more specific topics like the history of the Democratic party, education, and case studies in Russia. In these sessions, speakers continued to celebrate the use of education as a mechanism to insert Marxism into public institutions. In one session, the idea of targeting their message to students, even over “the working class,” was debated.
Read the whole thing, as there is much more, including video of Rebel Pundit getting kicked out of the conference when he didn’t sufficiently express his solidarity with this group of communist thugs. Oh, and next week the Marxists will take their traveling road show to the University of Wisconsin Madison to recruit some more young students into their communist revolution.

This is a vindication of Senator Joseph McCarthy’s Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations hearings.
I read an excellent book…Joseph McCarthy: Reexamining the Life and Legacy of America’s Most Hated Senator by Arthur Herman. IANS: Sen. Joseph McCarthy may have been a bit overzealous when trying to route out communists back in the early fifties, but the threat was real. The fact that McCarthy often overreached is noted, but in many cases was proven right, as the author clearly substantiates in the book.
Today, we are witnessing the communist takeover of anything and everything that was America, as McCarthy had predicted. But, he was ridiculed, censured and ruined by guess who? His “friends across the aisle”—the liberal Democrat. Or as we know them today…COMMUNISTS!!!

Sick, sick, sick!! My grandpa said well over 60 years ago (before I was born) that there were more communists in this country than in the Soviet Union. My dad has told me this many times – more and more, I see that grandpa was right.

@mario john – Exactly. I was thinking about McCarthy too, and I agree that he has been vindicated. You’ll never hear that on the 6 o’clock news though, nor read that in the New York Times!

@Stoic Ex-Buck Sergeant of the Air Force
I guess we never will hear it in the MSM, most of them are communists as well!

@Mario John – Thanks to you, too! You probably know that my “rank” doesn’t exist – but, it was a very common slang expression for someone who served for a long time without advancing through the ranks. I loved my job, and was very good at it – had no desire to push paper! – 6 years, 6912th ESG, Berlin.

In truth, these teachers should be given the boot. They are public employees, living off the taxpayers’ dime. Why should we subsidize their efforts to destroy the US Constitution?
