I’m so glad we had that storm last week because I think the storm was one of those things. No, politically I should say. Not in terms of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good politics.

I hereby request that NBC send Matthews out to Staten Island to do post-storm reporting…I know some people who would be happy to welcome him.

Well, thank God Matthews didn’t call some 30-something student a slut, can you imagine the media firestorm THAT would cause? All he did was praise a storm that killed at least forty people, IIRC.
And ironically, if a Republican or Conservative had said, word for word, the EXACT SAME THING, they would be raked over the coals.
This is Leftism at its proudest — it’s not the action, or even the result, that determines morality. It’s WHO says it.
Matthews will never, NEVER be Tim Russert, and it kills him just a little more every day.

I’m relieved that Hurricane Sandy didn’t come after the election. I would have thought it was punishment from Almighty God for America re-electing Obama!
