Liberals like NBC’s David Gregory think that laws don’t apply to them. On his Sunday show Gregory brandished a high capacity magazine to make a point about gun control or something. The problem is that possession of those magazines is illegal in Washington, DC where the show is taped. Not only did they violate the law, they may have even done so even after the police denied their request to use the magazine on the show.
It may be even worse for Gregory and NBC News. According to an e-mail received by The Patriots Perspective website, which originally broke the Gregory story, NBC News had inquired whether it was permitted to use the magazine and was told that it was not permitted. The authenticity of the email has not been verified.
Approximately two hours ago I emailed the same three senior communications executives at NBC News asking for them to confirm or deny this information, but none has responded.
I also asked MPD Officer Alali about it, and he said he could not comment on anything other than the fact that there was an active investigation. He would not comment on whether
“customerservice.mpd2.dc.gov”“customerservice.mpd2@dc.gov” was a legitimate address or anything regarding the email and whether NBC News was warned not to use the magazine. If it turns out that the information in the email is verified, this would change the nature of the incident from an unknowing violation to a possible knowing violation. While intent is not a part of the crime, it certainly may affect prosecutorial discretion if there were a prior warning.
Regardless of whether there was a warning, if the magazine were just a prop, one would expect a prompt response from NBC News instead of stonewalling. (Read More)
I like The Other McCain’s take on it.
Meet the Press is recorded in D.C., where possession of a 30-round magazine is a crime. If David Gregory was telling the truth — if that was indeed an actual high-capacity magazine — then he and NBC News broke the law. Alternatively, if Gregory was lying and the “magazine” was just a phony prop, then NBC News deliberately deceived viewers.
Clearly, David Gregory must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and NBC should be declared a terrorist organization by the Department of Homeland Security, so that everyone associated with the network is subjected to hands-on searches by TSA agents at airports.
Sounds good to me!

@lonelycon Gregory probably has a gun in his closet. But that’s different, he’s a liberal hypocrite.

Sounds good to you? No, that’s terrible. You’re ignoring his first amendment rights. He’s clearly not hurting anyone, and he’s trying to make a point about the current political situation. He’s protected.
You can’t just pick who gets freedom of speech and who doesn’t. That’s the liberal game, and you shouldn’t be suckered into it.

customerservice.mpd2@dc.gov is a valid address, verified ok with their mail server.

Gregory, like Obamee, clearly believes he is not subject to laws that don’t apply to him. Just us bitter clingers.
Prosecute him. Let him spend even 24 hours in DC jail genpop. He won’t make it out alive, and I won’t shed a tear.

Mr. Gregory’s journalistic misbehavior is but one of the reason I’m calling for a high-capacity magazine ban. No one has a legitimate need for a copy of Mother Jones or the The New Republic with more than 10 pages.

“Prosecutorial discretion”? Are you kidding? This is NBC; laws are meant for the little people. And they’ll just keep stonewalling until you go away.
It’s worked well for Eric Holder — when was the last time you heard anything at all serious about Fast & Furious or Solyndra, and they’re waiting for Benghazi to fade away too.

. . . and let’s not forget about the fact that Gregory’s children go to the exclusive Sidwell Friends School, just like Obama’s daughters. There are 11 security guards there, not counting the added Secret Service protection.
Ask Gregory about whether schools should have added protection, like we’ve mandated on airlines.

Whether he is ‘clearly not hurting anyone’ or not, the law is apparently not written in such a way to say “you may have this magazine as long as you are clearly not hurting anyone or just exercising your right to free speech or you’re just a journalist”. If it’s illegal, it’s illegal. If Sarah Palin wanted to exercise her freedom of expression by brandishing an illegal clip, the headlines would read much differently. They’re constantly caterwauling about making things illegal–well, there ya go, your prop is illegal and since you’re in possession, you shall get whatever punishment I would get. Equality before the law, even for NBC losers.

Now these assholes at Nothing But Crap are claiming the ATF said there would be no law broken by possessing that 30 round clip. They in turn told the DC Metro police the same thing. The problem is the Metro DC said there was no contact with the ATF, and no one at DC police will say ho told them what.
These douche nozzles can’t even get their own story straight. Unbelievable! What more do you ass wipes on the left need to convince you that your party is as corrupt as the shit stain in the Oval Office.

This is a prime example of a current law not being enforced. Yet the lefties want MORE?
