President Obama is in Michigan today on our dime campaigning for tax hikes on those he deems to be too wealthy. During the event he flat out lied about right to work laws, saying they take away workers’ collective bargaining rights. They do nothing of the sort. They give workers the right to not join a union and pay union dues. But he never was a fan of the truth.

Dear Leader is out and out, lying again. The RTW legislation ends the automatic dues deduction and the mandatory condition of employment. Individuals can still be in a union, pay dues voluntarily and carry on as before; if they want to. No unions will be de-certified. This legislation gives the power of decision making to the individual.
There are at least a couple of school districts closing, one in Taylor, Michigan so the teachers there can attend protests at the State Capital Building. Now we all know indeed where priorities are for the teachers and it isn’t the kids.
There is no legislative possibility of the Democrats stopping RTW. None. The real unspoken core of the complaining is about union dues money funding the progressive Democrat power lock on an entire state. Things are about to change starting tomorrow.

This is a nice surprise out of Michigan. I hear that most citizens in the state support RTW (which I do find surprising and also rather giddily hopeful). Obama is, once again, wasting no chance of stirring citizens up against one another. A union fight is not the President’s job. He’s know that, if he was a President. I’m glad about this, but still fear what 4 more years of union thuggery/Obama administering will do to the country.

I think it is great that workers should be able to join a union and have dues taken out of their pay. Isn’t that good enough for the unions? Shouldn’t be a problem.
