NY Gov Andrew Cuomo The Tyrant
While all attention has been focused on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s gun grab, his push for a massive expansion of abortion in the state has slipped under the radar. LifeSiteNews has the details.
By promoting one of the most expansive abortion bills in American history, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has opened a civil war on two fronts: with his church and with elements of his own party.
Cuomo is pushing for a massive expansion of access to abortion in the state, including lifting restrictions on third-trimester abortions, allowing non-doctors to perform the procedure, and enshrining a fundamental right to “terminate a pregnancy” in New York state law.
Democrats for Life of America deemed the proposed bill “the most sweeping abortion legislation in the nation.”
The Democratic governor introduced the bill to cheers during his January 9 State of the State address, shrouding it in the name of “women’s equality.”
“The abortion language would allow late-term abortions, allow non-doctors to perform abortions, and supersede any reasonable restrictions such as parental notification,” the group stated.
“It is out of touch with the views of most Americans, out of touch with the views of most Democrats, and could hamper real reform for women’s rights,” the Democratic group concluded.
The Catholic Church isn’t happy about it either.
With his proposal Cuomo, a Roman Catholic, predictably ran afoul of his Church and its teachings. Both Abp. Timothy Dolan and the New York Catholic Conference blasted the measure.
“I am hard pressed to think of a piece of legislation that is less needed or more harmful than this one,” wrote the Archbishop in a letter to Governor Cuomo.
“As we have discussed in the past, we obviously disagree on the question of the legality of abortion, but surely we are in equally strong agreement that the abortion rate in New York is tragically high,” he wrote.
“There was a time when abortion supporters claimed they wanted to make abortion ‘safe, legal, and rare.’ Yet this measure is specifically designed to expand access to abortion, and therefore to increase the abortion rate,” he added.
Is there anyone out there who still believes Cuomo is a centrist?

Secular utopian Andy binCuomo is working “progressively” to make sure your young female child is controlled by the government of sharia and isolated. His farce “Reproductive Health Care Act” of abortion on demand is draconian as he is a dinosaur of destruction. He is promoting the destruction of the family relationship, statutory rape / child abuse / and sex trafficking of minors. He is working in conjunction with the federal secular-marxists at HHS. NY already allowed Social Services or Planned Parenthood to come into Public Schools and take your underage child for an abortion, provide a chemical abortion, or contraceptive services when menses have begun, as early as nine years old, without parental consent or notification. It’s for the children dontchano when Andy wants to add 300 more hours to the public school year-NOT.
New NY Bill S1684-2013 attempts to establish parental consent and notification again, but other attempts have failed.
We already have EEOC. Equal pay for equal work with equal opportunity of advancement already exists as do sexual harassment prosecutions, both frivolous and legitimate. Andy is the repugnant one. Human trafficking is already illegal; he did nothing as NY AG. As former Clinton HUD Secretary, he should know there are laws against discrimination as we have many single women with their children living in social services housing. After all, his GSEs and networking comrades have exorbitantly profited.
Andy is choosing to join the federal attack on Catholic hospitals, schools, charities, ministries, religious freedom, and females. Tethering the heinous ABORTION ON DEMAND to feel good legislation for women that already existed is another back-door maneuver. Andy doesn’t have the courage to allow the NY voters to have a say in the legislation. His networking sleazes have too much money to make off the extermination of life. Promoting NY as a business for tourist abortion as a “green job” is incomprehensible. He is a mass-murderer of children, and there was no gun involved.
