Former Senator Mike Gravel (D-Ala) made the case for Defense Secretary nominee Chuck Hagel on Iranian TV. Just when you thought you’d seen it all.
“I think if [Chuck] Hagel gets appointed or confirmed by the Senate for the Defense Department, I think that will be a plus from Iran’s point of view because I do not think he would get involved in any plan to go to war with Iran,” Gravel told Press TV, which has praised the “anti-Israel” Hagel.
He also said that Hagel wouldn’t be a friend to Israel. This is one of those times that a Democrat gets caught telling the truth.

@lonelycon I don’t understand the Dems hatred towards Israel. Why?

Hagel was a member of both the Secretary of Defense Policy Board and the Secretary of Energy Commission on America’s Nuclear Future Board for ZeroHero. Other resume builders: Board of Directors at Chevron; investment banking at McCarthy & Company; Ploughshares Fund; Director at Eisenhower World Affairs Institute; Council of Foreign Relations and the U.S. Middle East Project; Advisory Boards at Commission on Climate & Tropical Forests and the Global Zero Campaign; PBS; Professor at Georgetown University and University of Nebraska at Omaha. He has been a fine lobbyist for George Soros and Hezbollah as Mike Gravel just confirmed.

Why is Gravel trolling for confirmation votes in Iran? How will that sway the US Senate? Insane.

Hey, Peter51. Dems don’t like Israel because it is the Land of Abraham, the man blessed by God to found their home which served as the basis for the whole Judeo-Christian ethic. Dems really no longer want to recognize God; look at the drivel they preach about separation of church and state which was never what was intended. It was never meant to be freedom from religion but freedom of religion-a huge difference which the Dems ignore.
Now I’m not saying all Dems are anti-God. But I do know that the leftists controlling the agenda these days are and they others are so afraid of losing power that they remain silent. And, in all fairness, a lot of Republicans are just as guilty.
They don’t like Israel for this reason, just like they mock Christianity in every ruling they make. Look at Sebelius, Obama’s phony Christianity, many of the courts (particularly at the District level and some Appeals), the disgusting education system (I use the term education loosely), the increasingly atheistic media, and yes, even some of the so called mainstream churches. Things have been watered down so much that an attitude of moral relativism now seems to prevail.
God does not believe in relativism. There is a clear right and wrong and he is looking for us, using our free will, to stand for the right. And Israel, a tiny country merely trying to maintain its existence, is at the heart of the battle.

Reminds me of those who visited Germany before WW2 and were swayed by how wonderful the Nazis were running the country at the time. Also of those who visited Stalin’s Soviet Union and were taken to “Potemkin Villages” around the country and came back with a good impression of Communism.
