Political and education leaders are constantly telling us that every student must go to college. The problem – the cost of college continues to soar and many college graduates end up with low paying jobs and high levels of student loan debt. No wonder the Democrats are pushing for a student loan bailout.
Via Frugal Dad, behold:

This “crisis” in education is being teed up like health care. The left makes the requirement of a college education a meme, it’s viewed as unaffordable and they’ll push for single payer via the same playbook. It’s almost there now. The government controls all student loans already so it just requires a legislative qualifier. And there you have it; taxpayer funded indoctrination producing a perpetual movement of leftist ideology.
Health care, media, courts, firearms, science and now, education. What will be the response of the populous?

And they forget that some people simply aren’t suited to college so it’s a double waste of time and money that would have better served them for their whole lives if they’d simply gone to trade school or apprenticed somewhere to learn an in-demand skill. There’s no shame in blue-collar or no-collar work, and people with in-demand skills can make damned good money and not have to worry too much about being unemployed. There are certain jobs that always need to be filled, jobs that civilization itself needs to have people in, and as existing tradesmen get older and retire or die, there will be a shortage of plumbers, welders, electricians, septic system and sewage maintenance people, etc., and then what’s society going to do? That English degree won’t get your toilet fixed!
