There’s a shocking new revelation in a book by one of BuzzFeed’s writers – reporters swooned over President Obama! Swooning, I tell you!
Actually, the only thing that’s shocking is that one of them admitted it so openly.
[Michael] Hastings reveals that a reporter’s life on the trail is monotonous and difficult, save for a few sweet unscripted but always off-the-record moments.
One of those off-the-record moments was an event where President Obama joined reporters for drinks while the campaign was in Orlando, Fla., an event that Hastings partially details in the book.
“The behavior of the assembled press corps was telling. Everyone, myself included, swooned. Swooned! Head over heels. One or two might have even lost their minds,” Hastings writes, as each reporter had a chance to speak personally with the president. “We were all, on some level, deeply obsessed with Obama, crushing hard, still a little love there. This was nerd heaven, a politico’s paradise, the subject himself moving among us — shaking our hands, slapping our shoulders!”
Hastings reveals that the president spent “over an hour” with reporters who later stayed up late buzz over every detail of the evening.
“Did this inform our reporting, did seeing the man in the flesh, in a somewhat staged and casual setting, provide new, deep, and lasting insights?” asks a reflective Hastings in his book. “Yes, I would say, but again, I’m not at liberty to share.” (Read More)
Is it any wonder the public is so confused considering the way the media idolizes Obama?

whoever said they are cult members got it right. I can see them swooning already at AlterNet. They “report”: that a West Point “study” says that RightWing groups pose a threat to America.
Then they “report” about the “loophole” – which is a fraud. They never report that most of their statistics are total garbage designed for propaganda. Such as ‘people who get shot know each other’. Uh … over 90 percent of people who murder someone actually have Rap Sheets a mile long, and that statistic says exactly nothing about the average american, but they insinuate it anyway. We are all shocked to learn that gang bangers ‘know each other’. So ?
I am holding my breath waiting for the NY Times to print the truth.
They also “report” that “Right Wingers make it impossible for progressives to solve real world challenges.” Oh dear. Can I guess what they have in mind ? They want to get away with the same garbage they got away with in England. They are nothing but a little self appointed aristocracy. I’m glad they reveal their inner totalitarian on the radio. One jerk was glad the Journal News made that interactive map so he can check out his neighbors. He should get a nick-name of “Big Brother”. It is breathtaking how he manages to ignore any other aspect except what advances his creepy agenda. I want a map of socalled progressives so my kids can avoid those creeps. Or better yet the creeps should deport themselves to Australia.
Here is a philosophical question: If the English are so stupid that they allow themselves to be disarmed, are they too stupid to have guns ?
