The haterz have really been busy today, as you know. In addition to the hack spam there was also some nasty mail “from” me that got sent to both me and you, and there’s an idiot psycho running around on twitter screaming that I am not actually me but someone else entirely. AGAIN. This after video was posted of me in the hospital for all to see so people could see that I am real and that I am really me. Ain’t it great being a righty blogger? (eyeroll)

it is not a good idea to click links – i know a guy who spends an awful lot of time cleaning off viruses and worms from computers.

A good rule of thumb is, if the subject is empty or says “Re:” it’s a scam. I usually then write the contact it “came from” (even though it came from a scammer) and alert them to the fact that someone has hijacked their email account. The person should then change his/her password immediately and notify the email provider (it’s almost always Yahoo) about the scam.
