Hello Kitty is legal, the other is not because of the grip. Seriously, what a dumb law. Not only did they violate the state constitution by passing it in such a hurry, it won’t do anything to make people safer. But hey, Governor Cuomo is getting plenty of media attention, which is exactly what he wants as he eyes a 2016 presidential bid.
Of course, having his name associated with that asinine legislation may have just made Gov. Cuomo radioactive in the 40 states with shall-issue carry permits.

Progressives know to insure failure with these ineffective laws as a prequel to substantiate the imposition of confiscatory measures in a future reaction to a “crisis”. This is always how they operate.

The infamous Hello Kitty AR’s grip (the MonsterMan Grip) is a workaround of California’s “assault weapons” ban, which I believe is almost identical to the ’94 federal “assault weapons” ban. A ban which even most Dems seem to agree was stupid and useless. Yet here we are again.
