A noble request, Andy but in today’s political climate, even debating in one’s own mind those questions could bring harm to one’s health. During the past four years I’ve had to defer to Aurelius almost on a daily basis for centering and composure. In fact, during the evening news hour I keep it within reach for reference.

Yeah, that is why I cautioned that this exercise was for the intellectually honest only. If a debate occurs with the caveat that intellectual honesty is a prerequisite then you’ll find the debater population shrink quickly

“3) Are all human beings created with unalienable rights?”
The hard-to-swallow answer is NO. Regarless of what we may believe, the only rights we have are those others have decided to give us.
That’s probably why – as ethics and morals vanish – our “rights” are vanishing along with them.

Well it is true that some people believe thay have the power to dole out unalienable rights, but just because they believe it does not make it so.
