Nanny Bloomberg is at it again. Now it’s not just big fountain sodas he’s going after, but also 2 liter bottles that come with pizzas and pitchers of soda at kids’ birthday parties. All he’s doing is making it more expensive for families, because it will cost more to buy individual sodas. What will he do next, limit the number of pizzas people can order at one time? What a tyrant.
Take a big gulp, New York: Hizzoner is about to give you a pop.
Nanny Bloomberg unleashes his ban on large sodas on March 12 — and there are some nasty surprises lurking for hardworking families.
Say goodbye to that 2-liter bottle of Coke with your pizza delivery, pitchers of soft drinks at your kid’s birthday party and some bottle-service mixers at your favorite nightclub.
They’d violate Mayor Bloomberg’s new rules, which prohibit eateries from serving or selling sugary drinks in containers larger than 16 ounces.
Bloomberg’s soda smackdown follows his attacks on salt, sugar, trans fat, smoking and even baby formula. (Read More)
How long until other progressives decide these laws should be passed state-wide, or imposed on the whole country? These things always begin in the bluest of cities and states and then spread like a cancer. It’s unbelievable that people put up with this and keep voting for these tyrants.

@lonelycon How long till he bans large pizza? Steaks over 10 ounces, etc?

No more large sodas or trans fat in NY – but you can still get all the heroin or cocaine you want…

I cannot believe that Americans allow this. I’m speechless at the apathy. R.I.P., America.

“Flyover country” people like me shake their heads in disbelief about NYCers. When Al Qaeda terror and tyranny came from the sky the people of NYC rose to the occasion like true Americans. Now the same dictatorial tyranny and freedom hate coming from within is met with calm compliance. I wonder if Bloomie ordered certain people to report to the edge of a pit on their knees if he’d get a crowd.

It is official. New Yorkers have now proven they are too stupid to decide when to stop pouring a Coke into a paper cup. They have to have a Mayor yell, “Whoa.” Does Bloomie have to tell New Yorkers when to put on their galoshes, too? The rest of the world is laughing at New York. How embarrassing.
Well, I’m off to the 7-11 for a Big Gulp and a pack of smokes. Ta-ta from Tennessee.
