Yesterday President Obama spent some time taking questions on Google hangout. He was asked about baby names and there was a request for an executive order about Valentines Day. Then someone asked a tough question about drones being used in the United State. Obama responded that there’s never been a drone used on US soil to kill an American. He only left out the word “yet.” Then he droned on and on about how we can trust him and things are different here than in places like Pock-eee-ston.
Here’s the video:

@lonelycon that just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy on the insides.

I don’t know how anyone on the right can criticize Obama for drone use. They complain that if this was Bush, there would be an outcry from the left. And that is absolutely true, there would be, but isn’t it equally hypocritical for the right to now be against something they would easily be for if the president was a Republican?
This is an extremely complicated issue and when Bush was in office I was equally conflicted about the Patriot Act. How do we fight this kind of an enemy without giving up any additional powers or infringe on any aspect of people’s rights? You can easily see very good points on both sides of the argument.
