President Obama and Senate Leader Harry Reid are on the same page when it comes to raising taxes – they aren’t done yet. But they call it “revenue.”
There’s “no reason why we can’t have really strong growth in 2013,” the president said in an interview with CBS television yesterday before the network’s Super Bowl broadcast. He cited a recovering housing industry, strong manufacturing and rising car sales.
Revenue could be raised through an overhaul of the tax code, he said, “and we can do it in a gradual way so that it doesn’t have a huge impact.”
“There is no doubt we need additional revenue, coupled with smart spending reductions in order to bring down our deficit,” he said. “I don’t think the issue right now is raising rates.”
Two reports last week suggested worrying signs about the economy. The Commerce Department said Jan. 30 that the gross domestic product, the value of all goods and services produced, dropped at a 0.1 percent annual rate in the fourth quarter, the worst performance since the second quarter of 2009, when the world’s largest economy was still in the recession. They aren’t going to cut spending. Every year increases spending from the “baseline” of the year before. The big stimulus they passed when the Democrats controlled both houses of congress started the new baseline that increased spending to unprecedented levels. the only reductions we’ll see from this gang are reductions in projected increases. It’s a complete scam.

Obama and Reid are not finished with AMNESTY either. MotherJones site lists a bunch of go-to reporters keeping track of it – at MoJo, WaPo, Center for American Progress, Huffington and the American Immigration Council.
and AlterNet, doncha know, has a piece on how the ADL fuels ‘islamophobia’ and spied on organizations like greenpeace, and another worshipping Chomsky.

Dear Leader and the gang are incrementally repealing the 13th amendment one “investment” at a time. The neo-slave owners are the Ruling Class politicos in DC.

from today’s NY Times – Bill Keller
QUOTE
The good news is that the anti-immigration side has no lobbying equivalent of the National Rifle Association, no group with its hands so firmly on the throats of Congress that it can override public opinion. But the bill will face a reservoir of popular fear, resentment and misunderstanding. President Obama and the indefatigable Senator Charles Schumer will work the Democratic constituencies and rally public support, but the hard sell is up to a few key Republicans who understand that this is their party’s best hope of redemption with the surging Latino electorate.

Sounds to me like what is needed is an organization like
the NRA to deal with AMNESTY.

Make the Dems pass a budget. Let them OWN that they have baked $800B into each of the continuing resolutions since just before Obama took office. Maybe at least some of the Low-Information Voters will realize just how much money Obama has been HANDED each year over and above any other President.
Imagine being handed a massive raise and then running up so much debt that you INSIST you need another huge raise to cover your new spending! Explain that to the public, that Obama doesn’t think that he, unlike you or me, should have to cut expenses.
Make it personal, make people understand it — and keep hammering it home. Obama can’t balance a budget, and is asking for MORE money — because, you know, he handled the previous money “so well.”
Put it in terms the (sorry, but they are) stupid and self-absorbed can understand.

This menace, the “president”, has not yet punished the people he hates (that’s us) a bit compared to his plans patterned after his beloved Soviet Union. We are in for the greatest nightmare in the history of the world.
