While the White House and our public schools are busy sending out doom-and-gloom scenarios to the people, others are finding all sorts of budget cuts that won’t result in Armeggedon.
Here’s one: The Energy Department’s budget has increased by more than 43% in the past decade. Have your energy bills decreased accordingly? No? I didn’t think so.
Funding for the Department of Energy increased 43.2 percent from 2002 through 2012, according to calculations based on Treasury Department data.
The EPA’s budget has increased even more.
Inflation-adjusted spending by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has increased by 51% since fiscal 2008, according to Treasury Department data. – See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/environmental-protection-agency-funding-51-2008#sthash.MOCUUiSm.dpuf
But we’re all supposed to be afraid of Obama’s dreaded sequester that cuts less than three cents from every dollar? They really do think we’re stupid.

Yes, LC, they really think we’re stupid and the country is awash in LIVs so it’s effective to a great extent.
Every night on the local news it’s either fears or tears with reporters pitching a handwringing or heart wrenching story of how the sequestration will bring the country down but with gas at four bucks a gallon around here and state government looking for increased taxes, there’s not much sympathy for government pairing back on their spending the taxpayer dollar.
