Democrats keep telling us that they have to raise taxes again and they can’t cut spending while every day we hear of more money the government is wasting. Here’s another example – millions of dollars spent studying why lesbians are fat. Who comes up with these things?
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $1.5 million to study biological and social factors for why “three-quarters” of lesbians are obese and why gay males are not, calling it an issue of “high public-health significance.”
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass., has received two grants administered by NIH’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to study the relationship between sexual orientation and obesity.
It is unknown whether funding for the study will be cut due to the sequester, but for now it looks like it’s going forward, but White House tours are still cancelled.

What does abnormal and unnatural sexual behavior have to do with weight gain? This is waste and abuse of the hard working U.S taxpayers by the permanent political class in Washington DC. It should be considered a crime. If millions of us taxpayers revised our W-4 forms to (10) ten dependents it would reduce the flow of money for them to waste and abuse. Unbelievable the NIH will unnecessarily waste another $1.5 million of children’s funds on less than one percent of the population. Instead of rewarding the College of Charleston with $682,570 Stimulus to study shrimp on a treadmill, they could have studied Rosie on a treadmill at the gym for nothing. Money laundering placing the middle incomers under more stress.
The American Spectator put out an article today about the faux pas of the cancellation of WH tours by sequestration cut. Wow, Lonely Conservative, did you get the right picture to go with this story or what? That picture of Rosie says it all: they are fat because they are unhappy and miserable and they want the rest of us to be as miserable as they are.
I can put up with almost anything, but just don’t try to throw it in my face. And that’s what they do. And to waste money on this crap is ridiculous but, then again, what do you expect out of Obama?
I’m sure when the study is done they will find some way to blame it on us as part of the War on Women, or whatever they call it these days. Who cares? We know the truth and “real” women know who is at war with them: Obama and Company. He’s at war with all of us.
