Jay Carney was under fire again today at the White House press briefing. Ed Henry of Fox News asked him about Attorney General Eric Holder’s involvement in seizing James Rosen’s emails and other records. Carney got testy and dodged the questions and then told Henry to talk to the Justice Department.
Ed Henry: Was he not telling the truth at that point? He was involved in it.
Jay Carney: Involved in what?
Ed Henry: He signed off on the search warrant!… Are you not involved after you sign off on a search warrant?
Jay Carney: Again, I’ll refer you to the Justice Department. You guys are complaining that the subpoena with prosecution. Again… I would just point you to what the Attorney General said.
Major Garret: But is this a technical inaccuracy you’re holding onto?
Jay Carney: I’m not. I’m saying based on what I’ve seen in published reports and what the Attorney General said, I don’t see the conflict.
Well, in the subpoena, the Justice Department alleged Rosen had broken the law, so it certainly could be interpreted that there was a potential for prosecution, despite what Holder said during his testimony.

Update: Oh, and Holder is going to have an off the record meeting with reporters. Many news outlets objected, so the DNC communications director said that if they don’t meet with Holder they forfeit their right to complain about him. That’s how these Democrats operate. They’re all thugs.
