Check out this chart, and mull it over for a while. It really needs no explanation. A friend emailed it to me, I think it originated here.Click here to see it bigger. It looks like it’s been around for a while, but it’s certainly enlightening, and scary. I’m thinking that food, at least, should be added inside the circle of modern liberalism. We could make the argument for housing and energy to be included, too, and maybe we can throw in the old Obamaphones. What’s left? And who are the conservative leaders brave enough to take away the goodies after the progressives have handed them out?
Update: When I said this doesn’t require much explanation, I certainly didn’t mean it doesn’t warrant discussion. I’m thinking the current administration, as well as the opposition party, would be happy if we only focused on the many scandals and didn’t talk about what is happening right out in broad daylight. It’s kind of like how people don’t notice if they gain a pound, or two pounds or three pounds. The next thing they know they’re obese and they wonder how they got there. I’m thinking that our young republic has become
obese, bordering on morbidly obese, and I don’t know if it’s too late to save her.
Update: In case you missed it, here’s what I had to say in the next post, about IRS official Lois Lerner:
But hey, nothing to see here. Just move along down that path to socialism. Don’t worry about modern day necessities like toilet paper and sanitary napkins. Once socialism has been solidified here in the good old USA I’m sure the bureaucrats and politicians will find a way to get them to you, after a while anyway. Just hope that someone else out there doesn’t need them more than you do, or that you aren’t on the bad side of some bureaucrat like Lois Lerner. She might be on paid
leavevacation right now, but there are plenty more just like her to fill in, just like in the Mafia or street gangs. Not to worry, though, just pay the protection money and keep your mouth shut and they’ll leave you alone. They promise.
When it comes to tyranny, the tyrants come in all shapes and sizes. They wear skirts and pant suits, as well as the power suits we’re used to seeing male “leaders” wear. Don’t be fooled into thinking the women are somehow all maternal and sweet and just looking out for your best interests. They can be every bit as ruthless as the men.
