After Chris Wallace announced he would interview Senator Ted Cruz on Fox News Sunday he was suddenly inundated with opposition research slamming Cruz. That oppo research came not from Democrats but from Republicans.
Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace said Sunday morning that he’d received opposition research from other Republicans about SenatorTed Cruz (R-TX) in advance of Cruz’s appearance this morning, a serious indication of how upset the GOP is with the Senator leading the risky charge to defund ObamaCare.
“This has been one of the strangest weeks I’ve ever had in Washington,” Wallace said. “As soon as we listed Ted Cruz as our featured guest this week, I got unsolicited research and questions, not from Democrats but from top Republicans, to hammer Cruz.”
Then Karl Rove went on about how Cruz isn’t showing proper respect to his colleagues.

Oh, and all of the Republican Senators who are against voting for defunding Obamacare today were all for it back in March. Every one of them voted for an amendment stripping funding from Obamacare and 20 of them even co-sponsored the amendment. But now it’s suddenly a bad idea. Why, because Cruz didn’t kiss their rings and beg for their permission?
