The special election for US Senate in New Jersey is this Wednesday and for some reason it’s just coming out that the longtime mayor of Newark, Cory Booker, doesn’t live in the house he calls home. Heck, people don’t even think he lives in the city at all, or even the state of New Jersey for that matter.
Multiple residents of Newark told The Daily Caller that the longtime mayor doesn’t live at any of the addresses he has claimed as home. The mayor is believed to live in New York even though he is registered to run for New Jersey’s special senate election.
Booker, who filed to run for the U.S. Senate from a P.O. Box in Newark, is registered to vote at 435 Hawthorne Avenue but his next door neighbors told this reporter and filmmaker Joel Gilbert on camera that they haven’t seen Booker in years and that he doesn’t live there.
“Does he still live here?” Gilbert asked Booker’s neighbor, Tashay Thomas.
“He never did,” she replied. “His security guards live here.”
Why did he claim to live there while sending police to be quartered in a private home?
“Because he is a liar.” Thomas replied.
Thomas yelled out to someone across the street: “They’re looking for that fake mayor who says he live here. He does not live here!” (Read More)
Another neighbor said the rising star of the Democrats rides around listening to a police scanner so he can show up at high profile happenings. Another woman who worked for the Census said she was told when she knocked on the door that the house is a police station.
He has another house he says he owns that’s also vacant.
In the video below Booker’s neighbors say they won’t vote for him in the Senate race. Will they sit it out, or will they vote for Steve Lonegan, the Republican who is now gaining in the polls? It sounds to me like Lonegan would be a Senator from New Jersey, while Booker would be the third Senator from New York.
