As if this week wasn’t bad enough, the people of New Jersey elected Cory Booker in the special election for US Senate. Many residents that live near Booker’s official home believe he lives in New York, because he certainly doesn’t live where he says he does. So in effect, New Jersey just elected New York’s third Senator. Just what we need.
Booker won by double digits, but it wasn’t the landslide many had predicted at the beginning of the campaign. With 94 percent of the precincts reporting, he had about
55 percent of the vote to Lonegan’s 44 percent.
I wonder how long it will be before Booker starts running for president. They say he’s charming, which seems to be the only qualification voters give a crap about these days.
