The Obama administration is vindictively blocking off federal parks, monuments and cemeteries to make the partial shutdown of government as painful and inconvenient as possible for the American people. In their eyes, this is a win. A senior White House official admitted as much to The Wall Street Journal.
Said a senior administration official: “We are winning…It doesn’t really matter to us” how long the shutdown lasts “because what matters is the end result.”
And what is that end result? President Obama getting everything he wants, with no concessions and no negotiations because he thinks he’s a king. In the meantime, the federal government has hauled in more money than ever, but is still almost $1 trillion short. But we’re supposed to think this isn’t a spending problem. Yeah, right.
