Howard Dean: Employers Shouldn’t Decide What Health Policies They Offer, Government Should

Howard Dean explained the statist mindset of today’s Democrat Party on Sunday.

Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, a liberal Democrat, says decisions about health care should rest with the federal government, not with individual employers who pay for their workers’ health insurance.

“So, you know, this is one country,” Dean told CNN’s “State of the Union” with Candy Crowley on Sunday. “We all have to live by a set of things that are passed in Washington and agreed to by the court. We’ll see what the court does, but I don’t think a particular employer has a right to decide what kind of health care their employees are going to get. That’s now in the hands of the federal government, and that’s where it should be.” (Read More)

There’s more at the link, like when it comes to religious freedoms, “this idea that we can pick and choose what we’re going to do is a tough idea.” Rick Santorum was there to rebut, but really, do Americans want to live by a set of things passed in Washington?I think in many cases people really had no idea what they were voting for. Now they’re being clued in, too bad more Democrats don’t state so bluntly what the really think.

He also blabbered about women having control of their “reproductive livess” which is a bunch of BS. What does forcing someone to pay for someone else’s birth control and abortion pills have to do with women controlling their reproduction? They’re asking someone else to control it.
