Bill Nye the “Science Guy” debated climate change with Rep. Marsha Blackburn on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Nye blamed oil companies for skepticism about global warming. Blackburn pointed out a few scientists who disagree with the global warming theory, only to be rebuffed by host David Gregory for citing a few “skeptics” when we all know there is consensus among scientists that global warming is real. (I guess he didn’t get the memo that over 1300 scientists have peer-reviewed papers against ACC/AGW alarmism.) So Blackburn turned the argument to what they plan to do about it assuming what they say is true.
“Even Director McCarthy from the EPA in answering questions from Congressman Pompeo before our committee said reaching all of the 26 U.S. goals is not going to have an impact globally,” Blackburn said. “What we have to look at is the fact that you don’t make good laws, sustainable laws, when you’re making them on hypotheses or theories or unproven sciences.”
Watch the video below, despite Gregory’s interruptions, Blackburn won this debate hands down. Even Nye’s fellow alarmists agree, and their ire over his debate performance has only increased because he did even worse when he debated Climate Depot’s Marc Morano. Watch both videos below.
