The ruthless political calculation was buried deep in the low-key article, which was published on page 20 of the local “New York edition” of the national newspaper.

Speaking of the Republicans, be glad their immigration reform doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Analysis of both the Senate bill and the House proposal reveals that while they would potentially increase economic growth overall, they would decrease wages. So the standard of living for most Americans would decrease along with the wages. Thanks to Obamacare our standard of living is already taking a hit, this will only make it worse.
